Operation Gamma 41

Posted by – May 25, 2011

Germany-based Publisher Just A Game announced a new WW2 browser game Operation Gamma 41 (OG 41 For short), which was hitting the closed beta yesterday.

Like its earlier licensed version of WW2 Glory, Operation Gamma 41 also takes place in the second world war when two opposite forces confront each other. The game is developed by Chinese game studios, which has distributed the Chinese version of 绝地战争 in 2010.

Based on what chinese gamers have experienced, Operation Gamma 41 (the English version) delivers a complete set of tactics, a powerful unit of army, and a group of stratigists.

Unlike those so called browser strategy games like Evony, Global WARFARE, Operation Gamma 41 also allows strategists or players to be the master of a small town where they need to build a fortress and mange the whole stuff. At the same time, they should be equipped with an army and send them into the great historical battles of World War II.

While there are numourous strategy titles set in the world of the Second World War, Operation Gamma 41 may bring a breakthrough in this field. After all, Chinese games are lucrative, and Just A Game knew it.

Currently, OG 41 is now in the closed beta testing stage and the Chinese sides are adjusting some gadgets and performing some ruitine maintainance and changes.

WarFlow

Posted by – April 27, 2011

The brand new war game WarFlow was developed based on flash technologies that produce aimated interfaces and guarantee a user-friendly gaming experience. As a coalition of vivid fighting scenes and varied strategies, WarFlow consists of multiple systems including City, Battles, Legion, Farm, Mine and Heroes, where gamers are able to utilize their advantages to the best to win out.

Right after DOVOGAME announced to unveil their first RTS war game WarFlow, they just confirmed earlier today that the first WarFlow server – “Militia” has been launched on Jan 5th.

Pretty much akin to DOVOGAME’s flagship product – BTO (Business Tycoon Online), WarFlow provides a comprehensive solution for heroism, leadership and espirt de corps. During the wars with NPC warlords, gamers will be able to enjoy conquering the toughest battles. Meanwhile in the Legionary battles, gamers have to work together to fight for their common interest and common honor.

The launch of S1 Militia signifies that DOVOGAME gamers have more choice now than ever before. They can choose to fight in a civilized way in BTO as a business tycoon or in a brutal way in WarFlow as a warlord wielding the weapons.

WarFlow, as a browser game, doesn’t require downloads and allows players to experience the whole game without spending a penny. With the same pattern of Dynasty Saga and Batheo, Warflow, as an original browser game, has been coped by Koram Game and Clapalong.com.

Four Advantages of WarFlow the Novel RTS Game

WarFlow, developed by DOVOGAME, comes across as being the most popular Real-time War Strategy game of 2011. The comments on Facebook and the professional game networks indicate its incredible appeal for RTS gamers. Its four advantages should explain how WarFlow stands out from all of the other war games.

No waste of time on buildings or soldiers

In the average war games, gamers have to wait a long time before enough resources are collected and required buildings are built. So much time is wasted on these uninteresting projects that very little joy is left for gamers to experience. In WarFlow, buildings are finished instantly and no production or training required for soldiers. Instead, Heroes (300 in total) are the fighters in WarFlow. With no redundant tasks involved, gamers are able to focus on strengthening their Heroes by training, improvement, technologies and equipments.

Less non-military tasks

Silver that can be obtained instantly in WarFlow is almost the only resource required for governmental and military construction. At this rate, gamers spend little time on construction and upgrades and have more time to manage their various types of forces (72 in total) and formations (10 in total).

Legions

A game of mere PVE mode is boring. WarFlow unlocks group-fight and legions for characters of around level 10. At first gamers can go on a group-fight against NPC and later they can have Legion vs Legion wars.

Reasonable gaming expenses

Gamers are given plenty of free MCUs (required for initiating attacks) and free chances to gain Silver. They can spend a little money to speed up the growth of forces, but it’s not necessary since WarFlow allows gamers to outfox each other without spending a penny.

Golden Age

Posted by – April 12, 2011

Set against the medieval era, Golden Age needs you to build and manage your own castle where you must train warriors and knights to protect your property and wage wars to your opponents. Develop the small castle into an emerging kingdom and gain revenues constantly to further decorate your realm!

As an online empire management game, Golden Age follows the basics of what Age of Empires online delivers. Take the battle system for example, you must dispatch your troops to the battlefield with a General who can be upgraded, equipped with weapons, and armor.

compared with Aeria Games’s Lord of Ages, Lords Online, Golden Age appears stimulating, adding much more fun to the game. The graphics also make it pleasing to the eye. If you cannot find a new game to play, Golden Age a brilliant and adorable game worth playing.

The game is developed by China-based Giant Games Interactive in 2009, scored limited success due to highly competitive market.

In 2011, Aeria Games took the rights to publish this game in North American and European regions. It supports multiple languages, including, English, Spanish, and German.

If you like online strategy games such as Caesary, Evony,  Batheo, or Three Kingdoms Online, you may be interested in browser mmo Golden Age.

Grand Epic

Posted by – April 11, 2011

Culture of every nation is rooted deeply underneath the soil of history, drawing nutrition from there and supplying the further growth. While Greek and Roman mythologies are gems in the occidental crown, the oriental laurel also shines with its own jewels, such as the Samurai’ Way in Japan as well as the Yoga in India. Here in Grand Epic, the back story is woven with historical figures of ancient China with exotic eastern fantasy.

Grand Epic is a browser-based, real-time strategy, adventure-themed MMORPG against a fantasy setting which can be traced back from the origin of the Chinese nation, when Chiyou, a tribe leader in history, is waging wars against the Emperor Huang, the acknowledged ancestor of the nation. As usual, war is the starting point of the whole story. Players will start from creating their own avatars and joining one of the four factions, namely the Cave of Heaven’s Eye, the Mountain Shu, the Mountain Crane’s Call and the Valley of Flowers, which are with unique backgrounds in Chinese culture. Mountain Crane’s Call is the base for Daoism School while Mountain Shu is home to disciples of Emperor Huang, for example. And each faction boasts its own warriors’ way and wields with unique weapons with saber, sword, rod and bow respectively, which will help give full play to its own cutting edges in battle, be it ranged attacking ability or powerful healing attribute.

Apart from customized characters and culture-oriented factions, this game also reputes with its diversified pet system, which includes dozens of species, real or fictional, such as panda, penguin, tiger, unicorn, phoenix and mermaid etc. Players can get their fighting pets by three methods, that is, to capture a monster and tame it into a pet, to receive one as rewards for successful quests, or to buy an egg in the mall and thatch it. However they are gained, these pets are blessed with special attributes, able to learn certain skills and helpful in combat. Besides, this game is also featured with its mounts, particularly its communal mounts which are designed to carry more than one player. This mount system is also sophisticatedly designed that each mount can be equipped with five pieces of items, such as the saddle and armor, which can all upgrade from the basic iron level to the highest sixth level of wrath.

Yet the list of its features is long like the unmentioned large crafting system, overwhelming quest system and incentive subscription system. Intricate as it is, this game is like a densely connected web. So why not try it by yourself and decide whether it traps your heart?

Elfender

Posted by – March 31, 2011

Elfender is a browser-based tower defense game that is developed by Beijing-based Ourpalm and published by Guangzhou-based ClapAlong. The game has a complicated mix of puzzle, strategy, adventure, and management.

When firstly distributed in China, Elfender has been considered devoid of wit and inventiveness, a slavish copy of the original Plants vs. Zombies and DDTank. On March, 31, Clapalong, a Chinese online game publisher localized 植物大作战 into elfender and rolls out the first closed beta. The Chinese version is also hosted on Facebook and available at http://apps.facebook.com/plantwar_tw. The game received an extremely negative response from players and industry practitioners.

Elfender features cute and lovely characters who can engage in PVE and PVE, or choose to fight other NPCs and monsters. Furthermore, players can summon up a variety of monsters and elves to assist in the battle.

With more Chinese online games rush into North American Market, the playing ground in US are already saturated with copycat production. While Chinese developers are still confident of this market, hoping to get more revenue by adverting their games using New Ad platform Facebook.

Besides Batheo that is purely inspired from Three Kingdoms Online, ClapAlong now secured the rights to distribute global version of Elfender. We still did not know why Chinese games are that succesful even they just plagiarized other company’s efforts.

With its headquarters set in Guangzhou, China, Clapalong is poised to localized more Chinese browser games into English-speaking Countries, seeking more opportunities to go global.

The first English localization Batheo has been proven a little bit successful although they invested about $ 1 Million ad fees, yet with 17 servers live so far.  The company envisions this new casual browser multiplayer game that lets players play a no-download and fully fledged strategy MMO in the web browser with no additional download fees.
